About the Platform

IOA is excited to use GatherTown for #IOA2026. It's time to bring out our inner child and have some fun while connecting virtually! GatherTown is a web-based immersive experience that places attendees inside an interactive 2D space where conversations happen naturally as you move around the room.

Walk up to colleagues to spark spontaneous chats, gather in small groups for informal discussions, or explore shared spaces that bring people together in one place. The result is a more social, engaging virtual experience that makes it easier to build connections, exchange ideas, and feel part of the IOA community throughout the conference.

GatherTown will be available to conference attendees on 13 April 2026.
