Managers and employees understandably hope to avoid disagreement and conflict. Creating an environment that invites openness, healthy engagement, and process confidence is key. This workshop is designed to provide practical insight and guidance for ombuds in identifying root causes and discovering healthy solutions well beyond the interpersonal conflicts presented by our clients. This is done through utilizing a model that helps identify five levels or spheres of conflict within an organization. Direction is provided to help develop distinct intervention strategies for each of these five levels in a holistic and comprehensive manner. This is best accomplished when these concepts are clearly communicated to clients and organizational leaders in ways that increase understanding, inspire constructive perspectives, and develop applications toward positive cultural change.

Learning Objectives

  1. 1. Helping ombuds to broaden the scope of their conflict analysis by identifying five different levels or spheres of organizational conflict.
  2.  Providing guidance in the development of holistic problem-solving and creating discrete intervention strategies for each of the five levels.
  3. Creating new ideas and best practices in the communication and implementation of these concepts and strategies to effect broad-scope conflict resolution toward positive cultural change.
