Description

The Meeting Game is an interactive method of having difficult and not-so-difficult discussions. A group of up to 15 people may participate. Different size acrylic and wooden balls are rolled across a table as a person shares a perspective about the topic being discussed. Each type of ball has a different response and participants need not engage unless they voluntarily choose to communicate during the game.

Learning Objectives

  1. Observe and participate in a creative manner learning new ways to work with visitors in having a difficult conversation in an alternative game format.
  2. Work through and consider new methods to help visitors work through difficult conversations in a new and engaging manner.
  3. Help the artist (Caroline) and conference presenter (Don) learn more about how experienced ombuds experience the use of The Meeting Game in helping with difficult conversations.
